This is how you make "loving-loving" on the beach. You gotta love this, an old episode of Kelly Slater in Baywatch. Boys, take a good look at how Papa Kelly rides his way into a girl's heart. BWAHAHAHAHA. why kelly, why?
Its a fact. Yeah most people surfing may look graceful and fluid, it may even look really easy to do..but we all found out, it's harder than you think. There's so much going on and everything is happening so fast, before you know it, you're upside down in the water, your board hits you in the face, or your face is buried in sand (or rocks!). But yeah, surfing is fun! hahaha.
toink! bam! splat! splash! "shiiiieeeeeet!!", if these pictures had sound attached to them, those are some of the things you'd hear.
feel free to add your own wipeout pictures in this album. (pics by Kage, JP, Gabo, and Coy)

"Bring your booty to Capones on Jan. 17, Wed. 8pm. Its the Dakine Manila Surfers Cup launch party with Kastigo, Man Down, Cosmic Love and Reefer. NO ENTRANCE. FREE Jager. That's right!"
I was lucky enough to see pros rip at the Siargao Leg if the PSF tour and at the Quiksilver Open in Siargao Sept. 2006. I felt even luckier hanging out with good friends, meeting new people, bonding with the kids, basically just the great great feeling of being able to be lazy for two weeks. Just taking it easy...aahhhh.
I learned so many new things during this trip like how there really is a thin line between being brave and being stupid (right kage?) i learned how to jump a drunk guy, how important it is to eat small bites during fiesta and how scary it is when your banca gets caught on the inside. hahaha. What a great adventure.
wow. shark sightings, bar fights, fiestas, laziness at its peak, falling coconuts, getting kicked around underwater by big waves. Siargao will never fail to leave you with memories of incredible adventures! sigh.
i only took out my camera twice of the 14 days i was there. Laziness talaga. hahaha.

my first road trip to mindanao. these pictures dont do the trip justice. There was so much to see and take in! i wish i had gotten more shots. i cant wait to do this again! still waiting for the underwater shots and the firefly shots from JP's camera...
My first ever Siargao Trip. Didn't post these right away for two reasons..
a)didn't want to post till i get hold of the other shots from Jp, Kage and Andrew (but decided i'll just link them instead)
b) tinatamad lang talaga ako (hehe)
I really wanted to spend my birthday in siargao this year so i saved up for this trip. Learned a lot of things along the way: people in siargao are fun people, learned the big difference between high tide and low tide, don't run away from Mr. Bean, how to ride a habal habal, that it's important to CHOOSE THE RIGHT WAVE to ride, and discovered "the mestiza" (which i later on found out, increases my skills in Bisaya) Yep, a memorable trip indeed. Got to watch 13 pro women surfers rip cloud 9...8 of which were australian pro surfers. I forced the Sarmiento brothers to adopt me for two weeks and had one of the best laid back summers ever. Thanks to Andrew, Kage, the Sarmiento brothers, the Drop Inn Crew, and everyone else there who made this trip memorable.
for the actual competition shots click here for Kage's photos and here for Andrew's photo's.
i'm still waiting for Jp's shots will update soon!
**these shots aren't in order, too tamad to fix them hehe.
First all-girl surf trip for me..well, it was really only a day trip but it was fun! I hitched a ride with Kage and Alessa. Kage did a kick ass wall ride (note:BACKSIDE) on that "one good wave", Alessa was the Art attack queen of the beach (thus Rocksy was born)...and the weather was BEE-AU-TI-FUL.Thanks to Aaron Vicencio for taking time to send me some copies of his work, they're the last 3 pictures i added :)
